Ethan has always been really athletic. As his parents we might be a little bias. At the end of the school year he received an award at an assembly. He was PE Student of the Year. We were really excited for him. He is a great kid and we couldn't be prouder. Good Job Ethan!

Be our Guest

Allie just had her dance recital. She did a tap dance to Be our Guest from Beauty and the Beast. She did a really great job. She has such a great time dancing.

We left Kaleb and Rylie with Uncle Mark in case they were a little restless.
Grandma and Papa came and had pretty flowers and a ballerina doll.

Grammy Sue and Uncle Tyler were in town for a visit. We were so glad that they were able to come.

Aunt Jaymi and Kayley came to support Allie too. It was a crazy busy day for them because Kensley got baptized a couple of hours later. Allie was so glad they came.

4 is a GREAT age

In May Kaleb turned 4 and he could not wait for his birthday! He eats, drinks, breaths monster trucks. Brent came through with the cake. He decorated a grave digger cake. I think it turned out Great! Kaleb could not have been happier.

He got a new scooter and helmet from his Grandma and Papa.

He got lots and lots of monster trucks. The funny thing is that he knows which ones they all are. He told us the other day that when he grows up he wants to be a monster truck driver.

RYLIE

I have no idea how this happens overnight. When she wakes up she sports this lovely hairdo everyday. I have to say it puts a smile on my face when I get her up. I guess she has the curl and it has a life of its own.

Cake Face

I am very behind in posting these. Rylie's birthday was the end of April and she turned 2! WOW...where has the time gone. I can't believe our baby is turning into a little girl. Rylie loves to eat anything and everything so when it came to her cupcake ice cream cone of coarse she totally devoured it!

Why we're loved...

The other day Ethan made a "Thank You" card for Jaime and I. We always love getting cards from the kids with those priceless little pictures and spelling alterations. I tried to scan it in, but "SOMEHOW" my scanning software was deleted from my computer... My next post is going to be "Why we love our kids... or Why we shouldn't leave them alone on the computer..." Anyways, here's how the letter went :

"To Mommy and Daddy"

"Mommy, thank you for being such a good Mommy."

"Daddy, thank you for paying taxes."

Rylie needed to dry out

A couple of weeks ago I was walking by the laundry room and I saw the dryer light on. I walked in the laundry room and went to shut it when I realized that Rylie had climbed in. She was just hanging out relaxing in the dryer. Kids find the strangest places to play.

Totally Tubular 80's Bash

I loved the 80's!!! I mean whats not to love....big hair, great music, and bright clothes. Brooke through a surprise 30th birthday party for Wayne. Can you guess her theme??? You got it....80's. Brent and I sported out best 80's costume and had a blast. Brooke decorated with lots of great decorations, we played 80's trivia and sang karaoke. Well I didn't sing but Brent say enough songs to make up for that. He was the best 80's Rocker Ever! I love any excuse to dress up. Good Times!

Learning to rollerblade

Ethan got roller blades for Christmas. Brent put on his and went out to help him in the front yard. They worked on for about an hour. Ethan has been practicing. He is very determined! Now he totally has it. He cruises all over the backyard.

Snow trip

The end of February we decided to plan a trip up to the cabin to play in the snow. We went with Mark and Jaymi, the girls, and Spencer and Lizeth. When we got there most of the snow at the cabin had melted and there was only a couple of patches. We woke up on Saturday and headed up to sunrise to find some snow to play in. We got there and got all our gear on and headed up the hill. We were only there about 15 minutes before we got hit with a blizzard. It was so bad that we could hardly see. Needless to say we decided to head back to the cabin before the roads got really bad. We were all so sad because everyone was really looking forward to our snow day. The next morning when we woke up we realized that it had snowed all night long. When I looked out the window this is what I saw......

It actually worked out great. There was so much snow on the ground the the kids were able to sled all though the front yard. They also made some great snow angels.

We were a little nervous driving down the rim with all the snow, but the trip turned out to be so much fun.
