Trampoline tricks

One of my kids favorite things to do is jump on the trampoline. This morning they woke up and went straight out and started jumping. They didn't even get dressed. They love to jump and do tricks. Ethan just mastered the front flip landing on his feet. Allie is not quite as daring as the boys. They like to jump off the little slide for added height. Whatever makes them happy, as long as they don't jump off the bbq.

Rylie's never alone

Rylie never seems to have any alone time at our house. Even when she is laying down looking at her toys, Kaleb wants to keep her company. I am really lucky that Ethan, Allie, and Kaleb like to be close to her but they aren't mean to her. When they talk to her she just smiles and her whole face lights up. She loves them all.

My Grandpa

My Grandpa Persons just had his 77th birthday. We went over to their house yesterday to celebrate. Since it was his birthday I thought that I would list a few things that come to mind when I think of my Grandpa:

-dependable( if I were to have car trouble 6 hours away, all I would have to do is call my Grandpa and he would come help me.

-as a kid he always let me smash pop cans when I would come to visit( I loved it)

-he loves to tease me, but I know its out of love

-as a kid we went on lots of big family vacations, lake trips, and camp outs

-he has always and still does go to everything his grandkids are involved in

-he's very smart, if I have a question about anything he can usually answer it

-family is very important to him

We are all very lucky to have such a terrific grandpa!!

Baseball Game

On Friday Brent and Ethan had tickets for the baseball game. They took their gloves and Ethan almost caught a souvenir ball that was thrown into the the stadium. It rolled under Ethan's chair and another little boy snagged it. That was a bummer. Even though they didn't catch a fly ball they still had a great time. They had really good seats on the 4th row. Thanks Dad for the great tickets. They loved going to the game!!!

Strawberry jam

The other day I was making the kids a sandwich for lunch when Rylie started to cry. I left all the lunch on the counter and went to see what she needed. When I came back into the kitchen Kaleb was trying to drink the strawberry jam. I knew that Kaleb loved the jam, I guess I didn't realize how much.

Lake trip

We took the new boat out for her maiden voyage. Everyone had a great time and everything went great. I do miss the days when we were able to just show up for the fun without the responsibility. I guess it was time to grow up.

Preschool started

Allie is finally back in preschool. She is so excited, her summer was very long and she was so bored. This year she has class with Jaymi, and she is going four days a week. She is a much happier kid now that she is busy.

Kaleb is my California surfer

Kaleb has a very laid back personality. My dad calls him California boy. He tends to have the "whatever" kind of attitude. Last week we went to the lake and Kaleb had on his swim clothes. Since we have been home it is all I can do to get him out of them. I keep taking them off and he hunts them down and puts them back on. I have started washing them at night so at least they are clean. I guess for now he doesn't need anything else to wear other than his swimming stuff. I'm not sure if he thinks we might go swimming, and he wants to be ready. He really loves the water. I guess whatever floats his boat.

Ethan started Kindergarten

Ethan started kindergarten last week. I was happy and sad all at the same time. He was so excited to be starting school, and he was definitely ready. I walked him to class on the first day and I was so nervous for him. He seemed to be just fine but I was a wreck. I had to give my self a pep talk to pull it together. Ethan is our oldest and so this school thing was a new experience. When it was time for class to start he said bye mom and walked into class and that's when I realized that Brent and I no longer had control over what he would learn, good and bad, and who he would meet. I guess all parents have a hard time when their kids start school. Brent probably called me 6 times during they day because he was so nervous for Ethan. Everything went great, he loves his teacher, and loves school.

I'm finally starting a blog

Well I realize that I am a little behind the times, but I am finally going to start a blog. I am going to do my best to keep up on it. I am hoping to be able to document the fun things that happen everyday around our crazy house. With four busy kids I never really know what crazy things are going to happen, but I guess that is what makes life fun. Enjoy!!!!
