For the love...

Ever have one of those nights where you just can't fall asleep and no matter how you toss and turn, you just can't get comfortable? Then, you suddenly realize it is because half of your body is dangling off the side of the bed, being violently kicked in the back in an effort to remove you from the premesis of peace and comfort. This has been happening quite alot lately... Welcome to my world.

It's nice to see that "they" all got a good night's rest. And, oh yeah, just to clarify, that's 3 heads sharing my 1 pillow (actually, I think mine is just leaning against the side...). FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY.....

I could have sworn that they were all tucked in their own beds before I went to sleep. I might have to start sleeping in my closet.

Thank You to a stranger....

Tonight I was out shopping with my sister. When we were done I was hungry so I decided to run through the drive thru at Taco Bell. When I pulled up to the drive thru a woman coming from the other direction pulled up at the same time. I went ahead and stopped and waved her on. She gave the polite "thank you wave" and proceeded to order her food. I then ordered mine and pulled around. When I got up to the window I handed my card to the kid working there. He handed it back and said that the woman in front of me had paid for my order. I was a little confused and said, WHAT???? I guess she had said that I was so nice to let her go in front of me, and that she had appreciated it and wanted to do something nice for me. WOW! My jaw about hit the floor. I have to say that this one small act of thoughtful kindness has really made my day. It's not about the $8 worth of Taco Bell but it is the fact that she was so thoughtful. This just goes to show that there are still a lot of good people in this world. I would like to say THANK YOU to this nice stranger. You have definitely reminded me that I should look for more opportunities to spread kindness!

Field trip fun....

On Thursday I was able to go on a field trip with Ethan. We started of by going to Encanto Park to play and have lunch. Then we went to the Phoenix Children's Museum. There were two parents that were not able to go at the last minute. Ethan's teacher put there groups with mine and one other mom. The two of us ended up with 10 BOYS to keep track of. WOW! I am use to lots of kids with preschool, but to try and keep track of 10 boys at a busy museum was quite a chore. There was so many things to see and do. If you have the chance to go it is definitely worth it.

They have all this tubing that blows air. The kids put these big fluffy balls in and they go all through the tubing and shoot out the top.
The sand and light table, too bad we weren't as good as the lady on TV that does those neat pictures.

They had a big house that the kids could just paint all over.

What a fun day! I am so glad that I was able to spend it with Ethan.

Allie's Princess Party

Allie turned 5 this year and she really wanted to have a big friends party. We planned a princess party. All the girls came all dressed up. We had such a great time. I had them all make a princess wand and crown. We ended up with 19 kids. It was a full house. Fortunately I had plenty of help.

All in all the party was a huge success and everyone had fun. I have to say I was pretty glad when it was over.

Baseball

This year Ethan is playing with NYS. Brent really wanted him to play coach pitch instead of T-Ball yet again. He has been doing great. He loves to play and he has natural talent( not that I am bias or anything). He has a really good coach and they have a lot of fun. A couple of weeks ago the coach from the other team was trying to recruit Ethan to play on their team because he is a good hitter. He offered him new video game systems. He was just kidding.....but it made Ethan's day.

The other day we all were having dinner at my parents house when my Dad asked if we would like some popcorn. We said sure, this is what he rolled out. I don't know if you can tell but it is a popcorn cart. It is the real deal. He put the popcorn in the top and as it pops it spills out into the bottom. We all laughed so hard as he made us some popcorn. The kids were really excited to watch it work. Jennifer has already called dibs for Conner's birthday party. Now we just need to plan a movie night:)

Today Allie turned 5. Holly cow, where has the time gone. She had a great day. The day before we went to breakfast with Grandma and Papa. Brent and I had been talking about what we should get her for her birthday. We decided that she really need a new bike. Brent went to pick it out. This made me a little nervous because I usually pick out the girlie stuff. When I saw it for the first time I was really impressed. He did so good. It is as girlie as they come. Of course she LOVED it.

We got together with Brent's family a little late this year but that's OK. We celebrated April birthday's and Easter all at the same time. We love any excuse to get together. The kids are so lucky to have so many cousins.

Every year we get together at my Grandma and Grandpa's house for a big Easter egg hunt with all my cousins. It is always so much fun. My Grandparents fill all the eggs and then the adults hide them. I love having so many fun family traditions. Once all the eggs are found then the big kids divide up all the candy. When I say divide I mean everyone gets EXACTLY the same things. We even sort the Hersey kisses by foil wrapper color. This is probably a little extreme but it's tradition and fun.
